Skilled carpenters are in high demand in our local communities and beyond! With over 400,000 available construction jobs in the country, the need for properly-trained, entry-level construction workers is greater than ever. Learn the fundamentals of carpentry and pave your pathway to work by enrolling in the Construction and Building Technology program.
Students may pursue either a certificate or associate degree path in the program. The majority of both pathways are centered around hands-on learning in our 6500-square-foot shop facility. Students will also participate in construction projects around the MAC campus. Topics of study are measurement and math skills, layout and instrument usage, hand and power tools, wood framing, concrete formwork, and interior/exterior finishes.

• CBT classes only start in the Fall (August).
• 8am-12pm Monday through Thursday (Fall, Spring, Summer)
• Summer courses (CBT 1805 and 1855) are not required for the Certificate.
